Selecting the Right Light Bulb for Your Eyes
What should I do?
You should try to avoid cool and bright white high efficiency fluorescent bulbs. They typically give
off a slightly bluish light. Unfortunately these are found in most offices.
Eye Friendly Light Bulbs
- LED Bulb - The most efficent solution is a LED bulb. They provide great light and are energy efficient.
- Fluorescent CFL - A warm white fluorescent CFL resembles the glow of an incandescent and is still energy efficient.
- Halogen - Halogen bulbs can be an option in certain instances. They are bright enough, but slightly less efficent than CFLs.
